Function title: PhD Candidate Computational Configuration of Value Networks
Research project
This PhD position at the VU/Amsterdam will research how a value model (see www.e3value.com) can be composed based on a stated consumer need, by using problem solving methods. Also, various mechanisms to select a suitable value model from a set of alternatives will be investigated.
The PhD will be a member of the Business, Web, and Media group. Furthermore, the PhD will be working in The Network Institute. This is a multi-disciplinary research institute of the VU University, in which researchers of Exact Sciences, Economics & Business Administration, and Social Sciences participate.
Requirements
Required education/skills:University Graduate
Applicants should have a M.Sc. in Information Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or related discipline. Good communication skills, in writing as well as oral are important. The main task will be to do research, but you will be given the opportunity to acquire some teaching experience.

Additional conditions of employment:

Salary
The gross salary is minimum € 2.000,- in the first year and maximum € 2.558,- in the fourth year, based on a full-time employment.
