UK : PhD Studentship Dance Talent Development in Young People

Trinity Laban, the first UK conservatoire of music and dance, combining Trinity College of Music and Laban, two leading centres for music and contemporary dance, is developing a strong research profile and establishing its research culture. We are seeking to recruit a motivated individual to contribute to an exciting investigation into the identification and development of dance talent in young people, funded by The Leverhulme Trust and partially supported by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. This interdisciplinary longitudinal research project will profile and screen approximately 300 talented young people.

To qualify for this three-year funded PhD within our dance science research team, you should have a Masters degree in dance, exercise and/or sports science or related discipline and an interest in dance, dance teaching and working with young people. Your fees will be paid and you will receive a full maintenance grant, while participating in the project.
