UK : PhD Studentships Institute of Neurology

The mission of the UCL Institute of Neurology is to carry out high quality research, teaching and training in basic and clinical neurosciences.

Studentship Projects: Potential projects will be posted on our website from 23rd November 2009: http://www.ion.ucl.ac.uk

Applications: Applications in pdf or word format are invited from graduates holding First or Upper Second Class Honours degrees in basic biological or physical sciences, or from final year undergraduate students expecting to be awarded similar degrees in 2010.

Please submit full curriculum vitae, including contact details of 3 referees and a statement of research interests indicating how these would complement the project for which you are applying to: studentships@ion.ucl.ac.uk.

Applicants should also attach a separate covering letter.

Primary funding for these projects is provided by The Brain Research Trust through the BRT Prize Studentship award. The studentships are for three years and offer an initial stipend of £20, 897, plus home tuition fees and £500 per annum for travel. Please note, funding covers only UK/EU fees. Overseas tuition fees are not included. Studentships from other funding bodies including the Medical Research Council may also be awarded from this recruitment round.
