The projects

We are seeking applicants with outstanding academic performance in both their undergraduate and Masters degrees who wish to pursue PhD studies in any area of research expertise within the School:

These studentships are for candidates commencing full-time doctoral programme in Manchester Business School in September 2010. The awards offer up to four years funding, including tuition fees and approx £13,000 annual stipend. These are open to UK, EU and international students.

The posts consist of teaching and/or research duties. The post holders will benefit from career development in all aspects of academic work including attendance at development sessions for junior faculty, mentoring and training, working closely with supervisors and research groups to develop publication opportunities and involvement in other School research activities.

Applications:

1) Complete an application for the doctoral programme. We must receive all the following before an application for funding can be considered: an application form, previous degree certificates and transcripts, references, TOEFL/IELTS test result (if applicable) and a 3,000-word research proposal.

Provisional arrangements for the interview

  • Interviews will form part of the selection process and are to be held on 19 and 20 April 2010 via web conference

  • Candidates are expected to give 15-minute PowerPoint presentation, followed by a question session
