Job description
The theme of the research program is to develop new biosensor technologies to predict and monitor cardiovascular events. The PhD research focuses on novel physical technologies to enhance the specificity of biological detection, in particular the detection of specific blood cells and specific cardiac proteins. Magnetic nanoparticles and electromagnetic fields will be used to manipulate and detect proteins in blood and proteins expressed on blood cell membranes.
Requirements
Required education/skills:University Graduate
Candidates should have (nearly) completed an MSc degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Physical Chemistry, or Biomedical Technology. Candidates will be judged on their expected ability to combine the search for precision and fundamental descriptions of physics with the empirical way-of-working of biological sciences.
