PhD or Post-Doc Position in IR, ML, Web Technology Bauhaus University Weimar
The Web Technology and Information Systems group at the Bauhaus
University Weimar, Germany, develops foundations and new technology in
fields of Information Retrieval, Data Mining, and Web-based
Information Systems (http://www.uni-weimar.de/medien/webis). We invite
applications for a PhD or a Post-doc research position in these
fields; we are looking for highly motivated candidates who meet the
following requirements:
* degree (Master, Diploma) in Computer Science or a closely related field
* well versed in mathematics, statistics, and algorithmic computer science
* strong programming background
* good communicative skills in German or in English.
The position is tenable immediately (however, starting date can be
adjusted)) for two years with the possibility of extension for another
two or three years. The salary will be about according to TV-L 13 up to
TV-L 14 or TV-L 15 (Post-Doc). If you are a Post-doc, the position is
associated with the management and supervision of a BMBF research
group.
