Information
Candidates may select one of the available research themes or submit their own research proposal (www.feweb.vu.nl/project_themes). PhD students can rely on the intensive supervision and the extensive training offered by the faculty’s leading researchers in the field. The Faculty offers opportunities to attend conferences, to meet other international researchers and to participate in high-quality discussion groups in support of publications. The prospects for the Faculty's doctoral graduates on the labour market are excellent, both inside and outside the academic world.
Requirements
Required education/skills:University Graduate
Applicants should have a MSc or MPhil with good grades in Economics, Business Administration, Operations Research, Sociology, or a related discipline, depending also on the topic of the research project. We expect candidates to show a proactive research orientation and to be proficient in written and spoken English. A GMAT/GRE test is required from all the applicants.

The salary is based on the salary scales for academic staff. The salary in the first year amounts to
€ 2.000,- gross per month, increasing to € 2.558,- gross per month in the fourth year, based on a full-time employment.
