The Institute of Psychiatry has been awarded two studentships by the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health which covers fees and £300 for associated costs.
The MSc in Mental Health Services at the world leading Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London is a fully modular one year full time (or two years part time) Masters programme. It provides a sound practical and theoretical knowledge base for mental health services research. The aim is to equip students with skills and knowledge to undertake mental health services research at the highest scientific level. The course is designed to meet the training needs of those interested in advancing their careers in mental health services research, policy and practice.
The course offers unrivalled resources of a specialist national research and training institute, leading teachers and clinicians, and UK, WHO and international policy advisors.
The course is suitable for graduates with a good degree in social sciences, psychology, health care, medicine, health administration and policy, service use, or related study, and those interested in the growing field of mental health services research wanting to explore the interface between research and clinical practice. Experience of working in mental health services from any aspect is very desirable.
Award holders will be expected to undertake their MSc thesis in conjunction with the Sainsbury Centre for Mental health
