Salary: €16,000 p.a. plus TCD registration fees (EU level) for a higher degree.

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified graduate to undertake research towards a M.Litt / PhD on a topic associated with the project ‘Reconstructions of the Gothic Past'. This post is funded by the IRCHSS and has three distinct strands (a) Irish Gothic architecture in the middle ages, and (b) the uses and exploitation of Gothic buildings in post medieval times and (c) approaches to conservation and presentation since the nineteenth century, one of which will form the core theme of the successful candidate's research. Applicants should have an excellent primary degree in a subject relevant to the study of architectural history.
