Germany: Doctoral Scientist Position in Cell Biology

The Laboratory for Stem Cell Research at the Medical Clinic of the University of Tübingen offers a position for

1 doctoral Scientist in Cell Biology(biologist, biochemist)to cover the subject: Phenotypic and functional characterization of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) with chondrogenic differentiation potential –molecular identification of new chondrogenic markers , which will be funded by a Biotec company and start on July 2008.

The applicant should have interest/experience in molecular, cellular, and protein biology/biochemistry. We seek highly motivated candidate who enjoys working in a stimulating environment. A strong academic record and knowledge in the above mentioned fields is essential.

The research project centers on the identification of monoclonal antibody-defined surface antigens selectively expressed on mesenchymal stem cell subsets responsible for chondrogenic differentiation.

The Institute is fully equipped with state-of–the-art instrumentation. Proficiency in English and scientific writing skills are a must.
