Bioinformatics group in the Research Center of Women’s Diseases at Sookmyung Women’s University is recruiting enthusiastic and talented FEMALE graduate students. We have various computational and experimental projects for the direct impact on the fields of drug discovery, protein engineering and transcriptome analysis. TERMS:
Ph.D. program consists of 3 year course work and 1-2 year research phase (total 4-5 years).
LOCALE:
Downtown area of Seoul, South Korea

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
Health insurance, tuition remission, and stipend of >$12,000 are provided to Ph.D. students.
Dormitory for international students will be arranged.
DEADLINE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ph.D. student: Bioinformatics programming, Computer-aided drug design, Protein modeling, etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Strong C/C++, JAVA and Perl Programming skill
2. Application of various machine learning algorithms to biological data analysis
3. Experience on the application of molecular docking and scoring AND/OR 2D/3D chemical descriptors to drug discovery projects
4. Good knowledge on molceuclar biology, computational science or molecular mechanics for structural modeling
Strong candidates should have proven records for the innovative R&D activity.
PREFERENCES:
Excellant command of English
