Ireland: Research Assistant Positions in Cardiovasculer Sciences, NUI Galway

The Regenerative Medicine Institute (REMEDI) at National University of Ireland, Galway, invites applications for a Research Assistant positions. Specifically, REMEDI is interested in someone with previous experience in tissue culture and molecular biology.

Successful applicant will carry out research within the REMEDI research programmes in the development of cardiovascular therapies conducted in partnership with industry sponsors. The duration of the post will be until November this year in the first instance, and the successful applicant will be invited to take up the positions as soon as possible.

The research project is supported by a Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) grant and industry funding. Salary for this position would be about € 25,000-30,000 p.a.

REMEDI explores the synergies of gene therapy and adult stem cell therapy to promote tissue repair and regeneration. It is part of the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science (NCBES), an interdisciplinary Research Institute at NUI Galway. Initial targets of REMEDI include the regeneration of cardiac tissue and blood vessels as well as bone and cartilage.
