UK: Anglia Ruskin University Research Studentships (2 available)

Based in Cambridge

Fixed term for 3 years

With 24,000 students, Anglia Ruskin University is one of the largest, campus-based universities in the country, as well as one of the UK’s leading providers of campus-based, part-time higher education courses. We have ambitious plans for development across the range of our activities and for building an outstanding reputation for academic innovation and achievement.

Applications are invited for two research studentships, each equivalent to the value of an AHRC three-year doctoral award. The first is the Skinner-Young Research Studentship and must be in the area of Shakespeare and/or Renaissance Drama. The second can be in any of the areas in which the Department has strong research interests which include: Romantic and Victorian Studies, Modernism, Women’s Writing, Science and the Creative Imagination (including Science Fiction), Classical Reception, Creative Writing, European Cinema, Trans-national Cinema, Sexuality and Cinema, Experimental Film and Video, Digital Media Culture, Technology and Society, The Public Sphere, Conflict and Globalisation.

Applicants should have, or expect to gain, a good honours degree or MA in a relevant field. If appointed, they will, in addition to completing a PhD, be expected to teach or offer research assistance in the Department for up to six hours per week.
