UK: The University of Manchester MA Fee Bursaries

School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures

The School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures has one of the UK's largest and most diverse postgraduate communities in the UK, enjoying state-of-the-art facilities and excellent support within a high-quality research environment. In step with our continuing expansion, we are offering a number of full-time and part-time fee bursaries for UK/EU and International MA students.

The School offers MA Programmes in
• Contemporary China,
• Modern Languages [subject to approval],
• European Culture and Society [subject to approval],
• Research-route MA in European Languages and Cultures [subject to approval],
• Latin American Cultural Studies,
• Linguistics and English Language,
• Middle Eastern Studies: ,
• Translation and Interpreting Studies

The closing date for receipt of the Funding Application Form with is Friday 27 June 2008. Please note applicants must be holding an offer of a place by the closing date in order to be included in the competition.

Awards will be decided by mid July 2008. This competition is open only to new MA applicants and only successful candidates will be contacted. Please note, the fee bursary cannot be held alongside any award from an external body e.g. AHRC/ESRC or any other external agency.
