Students may apply to this scheme and also for other fee bursaries offered by the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures at the University of Manchester (See funding opportunities in the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures)
However, if they are offered, and accept, a Chinese Studies fee bursary, their application will then be withdrawn from the School's open competition for fee bursaries. The Chinese Studies PhD fee bursaries may not be held alongside any full external funding award. They may, however, be held alongside a partial funding award, such an ORS or an AHRC fees-only award. They can also be held independently of any other award.
