Christel DeHaan Tourism & Travel Research Institute (TTRI)
The Christel DeHaan Tourism and Travel Research Institute (TTRI) is offering one full PhD scholarship (which includes living expenses) for a student wishing to work on a tourism-related research topic. TTRI is part of the Nottingham University Business School which was rated 5, the highest rating, in the last UK RAE and Nottingham is a member of the elite Russell group of Universities, all of which adds up to a mature, supportive and exciting research environment that is unsurpassed for tourism research. The details of the scholarship are as follows:
TTRI is offering a full scholarship to full-time doctoral students for the 2008/09 session. The scholarship covers full tuition fees as well as tax-free living expenses of £12,940 per annum (estimate at ESRC rate). The scholarship is available to both Home/EU and international students. Students who want to be considered for the scholarship competition should submit their application by 25 April 2008 at the latest.
Students will need to apply through the University system and clearly mention on the application that they wish to be considered for the TTRI scholarship in the personal details section of the online application form (available at: https://pgapps.nottingham.ac.uk). Scholarship applications will be evaluated on the basis of former qualifications, academic background, references and research proposal. All of the required documentation in relation to this must be submitted to the TTRI by the deadline.
