3 years position as Assistant Professor in Geotechnical Engineering is currently available within the Divison of Water and Soil, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine. The position is associated with the education in civil engineering at Aalborg University.
The main duties of the position will be to implement and strengthen teaching and research within geotechnical engineering. Teaching in related study programmes at the University may occur.
Appointment to assistant professor presupposes scientific qualifications at PhD level or similar scientific qualifications. The research potential of each applicant will be emphasised in the overall assessment. Applicants with documented teaching and/or research experience within one or more of the areas engineering geology, foundations and soil mechanics will be preferred.
Furthermore, the position involves supervision in interdisciplinary projects. The person appointed must therefore be able to cover various aspects of structural civil engineering and be willing to lecture at university level. The person appointed is expected to speak one of the Scandinavian languages or to be willing to learn Danish during the first year of employment. Proficiency in English is expected.
