A position as Associate Professor in Architechtural Engineering is currently available at the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine, Department of Civil Engineering. The level of qualification for Associate Professors shall correspond to the level, which can be achieved on the basis of the appointment as Assistant Professor, but may be achievable in other ways.
The appointment presupposes that the applicant can demonstrate original scientific production at an international level as well as documented teaching qualifications. Appointment to the position requires that both research and teaching qualifications are at the requested level. The two qualifications will be given equal and principal priority in the overall assessment.
Research areas will be in the field of Indoor Environmental Engineering at Aalborg University. This research field focuses on indoor environmental fluid dynamics and energy efficient design of buildings and building services, especially including ventilation principles as mechanical, natural and hybrid ventilation, air distribution principles such as mixing and displacement ventilation, low energy building technology as well as optimization of the interplay between traditional building services and passive energy technologies.
Experience from experimental research in laboratories or field research as well as experience of daily operation of laboratory facilities will be regarded as very valuable. Experience with CFD and dynamic building simulation will also be regarded as important.
Teaching will primarily be in the engineering programmes on Indoor Environmental Engineering and Architecture & Design, but also in other study programmes at the University.
