A position as Associate Professor in Physical Geography is currently available within the Divison of Water and Soil, Department of Civil Engineering, Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine. The level of qualification for Associate Professors shall correspond to the level, which can be achieved on the basis of the appointment as Assistant Professor, but may be achievable in other ways.
The appointment presupposes that the applicant can demonstrate original scientific production at an international level as well as documented teaching qualifications. Applicants with documented teaching and/or research experience within one or more of the areas climatology, eco-hydrology, and geomorphology will be preferred.
The person appointed must be able to cover various aspects of geography and be willing to lecture at university level. The person appointed is expected to speak one of the Scandinavian languages or to be willing to learn Danish during the first year of employment. Proficiency in English is expected.
The position is associated with the education in geography at Aalborg University. The main duties of the position will be to implement and strengthen teaching and research within geography in general and physical geography in particular. Teaching in other study programmes at the University may occur.
