Denmark. Several positions as Ph.D. fellow are available within Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine. It is required that the candidate hold a Masters degree and will be enrolled as a PhD student at the Doctoral School of the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine. Duration of the stipends is normally 3 years.
The progress of the PhD student shall be assessed every six months. It is a prerequisite for continuation of salary payment that the previous progress is approved at the time of the evaluation.
The PhD stipends are available within the general study programme Mathematics and Physics. Research in the Department of Mathematical Sciences takes place in a wide range of mathematical disciplines. For a closer presentation, please look at the home page of the department http://www.math.aau.dk
Allocation of a PhD stipend requires that an agreement can be made with the Department of Mathematical Sciences concerning availability of a supervisor. The qualifications of the applicant will be assessed by an assessment committee. On the basis of recommendation of the assessment committee, the Dean of the Faculties of Engineering, Science and Medicine will make a decision for allocating the stipend.
