University of Essex Scholarships
The Department of Law invites applications for scholarships for PhD studies. These scholarships are limited to the following areas:
Comparative Public Law
UK Human Rights Law
Domestic Protection of International Human Rights Standards
Judicial Review
Tort Law
Land Law
Equity and Trusts
Health Care Law
Reparations, Trade and Human Rights

The scholarships will cover tuition fees for up to three years and are available for students who wish to start their studies in October 2008. For general entry requirements for research degrees see our website.
Application Procedure
Applicants should provide a full application for PhD studies To make an application online, please see the University's Online Postgraduate Application Form. In addition, applicants need to submit a covering letter outlining their financial needs, including whether other sources of funding have been explored, and how they expect to cover their living expenses.
Applicants may be interviewed in person or by telephone.
