Job description
Law and Drama: How Theatrical Practices are defined by, with, and against the Law in France & French-speaking regions (13th-16th centuries)

Tasks:
The candidate is expected to research and complete a Ph.D. dissertation within a period of three years (four years in the case of a part-time position).

Requirements
Required education/skills:The candidate is required to have a research master degree in either French literature or Medieval History or an equivalent qualification (those graduating before August 31, 2008 can apply); experience in archival research in French institutions; knowledge of late Medieval French and Latin and proven interest in medieval performance and/or communication studies.

Additional conditions of employment:
The intention is for the appointment to start on 1 September 2008, in temporary employment for a period of one year. After completing this first year successfully, the candidate will be employed for a further two years. The gross monthly salary will be in accordance with the University regulations for academic personnel, and will range from € 2330 to a maximum of € 2558.
